Pricing information at Advocate hospitals

Health care pricing can be confusing. That’s why Advocate provides support services to patients and families who seek care at our facilities. We offer our patients cost-of-care counseling as well as care planning assistance programs. For example, we can assist you in: 

• Reviewing your private insurance coverage information
• Accessing Health Marketplace information
• Applying for state and federal programs based on financial need
• Using Advocate’s financial assistance program

Standard charges

To help you understand the cost of health care and your financial responsibilities, Advocate is providing a list of standard charges at all our hospitals.

Medicare and some insurance companies use diagnosis related groups – or DRGs – to assess hospital-related costs based on condition. We also provide a list of average charges per DRG for all our hospitals.

The charge information provided is not a quote or guarantee. Total costs for a visit may vary for individual patients due to services provided. If you are an Advocate patient planning to schedule a specific service, you can find out the cost estimate beforehand by calling your hospital.
